On 29th of March, 2022, the SBC held an open discussion with Raed al-Saleh, the head of the White Helmets, to talk about the resilience of Syrians, at the University of SOAS.
The panel discussed how the White Helmets (Syrian Civil Defence) have been supporting the resilience of Syrians during the ongoing indiscriminate violence committed by the Syrian regime and their key role in documenting war crimes and crimes against humanity. Moreover, the panel also discussed the Russian-driven misinformation campaign against the White Helmets and the lessons Syrians could offer to the brave people of Ukraine.
