SBC’s investigations team is pleased to announce that evidence collected from its investigation into crimes committed by members of the National Union of Syrian Students at Damascus University (and, briefly, at Aleppo University and other universities) has been transferred to the International, Impartial and Independent Mechanism (IIIM). The evidence consists of 27 witness testimonies, open-source research, external expert report, legal analysis, and final report. This evidence henceforth exists within a UN database which can be used and/or handed over to national and international authorities to pursue judicially-determined findings of fact and law. Full witness consent was obtained prior to the transfer of this evidence.
